About Challenge Oxfordshire

Challenge Oxfordshire is run by local Oxfordshire people for one reason:

We want to inspire people to make positive changes to their lives, with the aim of making them healthier, happier and even potentially save their lives.

The main areas that we will be helping fellow Oxonian’s within 2011 are:

  • Stopping smoking: Many people across the county want to stop, but just don’t know where to start. Our aim is to offer all the help and advice that they would need and CHALLENGE them to make a difference.
  • Lose weight: Far too many local people are needlessly dying of obesity related issues and many more are restricted because of their extra weight. We want to encourage and CHALLENGE those at risk to take action and lower their potential of future illnesses.
  • Beat depression: Depression unfortunately seems to be on the increase here in Oxfordshire. Whatever the reason for this, we want to help! Our aim is to help as many local people suffering from depression as possible in 2011. We will do this with helpful advice, tips and CHALLENGES!
  • Get fit: We want to CHALLENGE as many fellow Oxfordshire residents in 2011 to get active and lead healthier lifestyles.

Our understanding is that we are in this county together and that we can all help and support others within our community to get fitter, healthier and happier.

Together we can make this a REALITY.., Are you up for the CHALLENGE?
